Epidendrum medusae

Epidendrum medusae is an epiphytic orchid endemic to Ecuador, found in cloud forests at 1,800–2,700 m. It produces clustered, arching, pendant stems, each bearing 1–3 terminal flowers with a deeply fringed, dark-maroon lip resembling Medusa’s hair. Best grown cool to intermediate, in filtered light and high humidity.
